West Bay's Kuya Ate Summer Employment Program (KASE) provides at-risk and underserved high school students and transitional aged youth with professional development, career exploration and job opportunities over the summer. Participants have the opportunity to work directly with our elementary and middle school summer programming as well as supportive roles within the organization such as administrative tasks. KASE youth also participate in a cohort to strengthen their professional development while also making sure they feel supported socially, emotionally, culturally, and professionally. Weekly workshop topics include financial literacy, professional, career, and leadership development, as well as mental health workshops and check-ins with our clinical psychologist.
